As chit chat turns to romance, coupledom and the highs and lows of Lovey Dovey Day, we rediscover Hana Pesut's Switcheroo series. Couples are photographed together - then they're photographed together again but wearing each others clothes. The results are fun, touching, challenging and beautiful.
If you like these, you ought to visit Hana’s photoblog. It’s marvellous. You just might see her pop up again as our Instagrammer of the Week some time but in the mean time follow her on Instagram here.
Show us your romantic, smoochy-woochy, gooey-eyed StickyGram pics! Tag #stickygram #stickygramspotting on Instagram so we can find you :)
Italian fashion label Trussardi swapped faces with great bone structure for faces with fur in this shoot for their Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
Man’s best friend becomes the star of the fashion world!
Find out more about Trussardi here.
The internet says it’s Make A Friend Day today.
So we ‘made’ 3.
They’re a colourful bunch :)
"Oh darling! Your face… It’s so perfectly, beautifully, so fabulously symmetrical!” Fashion industry talent spotters often refer to facial symmetry as a marker of beauty. This series of portraits, ‘Both Sides Of’ by photographer Alex John Beck, prods and prods at this notion.
One portrait is perfectly symmetrical and created by mirroring the right side of the face. The other is perfectly symmetrical and created by mirroring the left side of the face. The results might not be what you expect… It could be we really do all have a ‘good side’!

This week’s StickyGram Instagrammer of the Week is @vivaladiva_
All this talk of selfies and interesting takes on the self portrait led us here to this selection of ‘back to front’ portraits. They boggled our eyes and our brains at first, but aren’t they great?!
To see more from @vivaladiva_ follow her on Instagram.
Remember, we want to see your portraits too! Be sure to tag them #stickygram so we can find you :)
Lots and lots and lots of you have been busy tagging your StickyGram snaps on Instagram and we’re having such a fun time scrolling through them. Thanks so much for sharing! More and more, we’re seeing your StickyGram magnets venturing from the fridge into other areas around your homes + work spaces. That’s exciting!
Today’s StickyGram Spotting trip could easily be 100 photos long (*so* many great examples!) but let’s share 5 for the moment ;)
Off we go!
Looks like @mypaperpinwheel loves washi tape + pretty pompom trim just as much as we do!
@rmn0611’s family love their StickyGram fridge! So many magnets and so much cute :)
@filzotte’s collection is growing and growing and growing!
We love @crmccurry’s desk display!
And we ALSO love @skihase09’s alternative kitchen display. It’s nice to see StickyGram magnets liberated from the fridge now and again.
We take a StickyGram Spotting trip every week and we post some of our favourite customer photos on the blog each Saturday. Sometimes we have a theme in mind, sometimes we don’t! If you’d like to be featured, hashtag photos of your StickyGram magnets/cases/covers #stickygram #stickygramspotting so we can find you and follow us on Instagram for news of special themes, photo contests and all the news from StickyGram HQ.
Have a fun weekend everyone :)
Whether you’re a seasoned selfie snapper or a nervous newbie, there are some things you should always consider before you strike your pose and click.
1. Arm in? Arm out?
No, we’re not doing the hokey cokey. We’re deciding whether you’ll take the classic ‘arm in shot’ selfie or not. What do you prefer?
2. Old-school Mirror Selfie
There is something quite endearing about the mirror selfie isn’t there? It’s also the perfect opportunity to show off your StickyGram phone case. We’ll be dedicating an entire post to these soon. If you want to be included, grab your StickyGram phone case, get in front of the mirror and click! Tag your pics #stickygram #stickygramspotting on Instagram so we can find you.
3. Let there be light!
Natural light is ideal of course, but given that the urge to take a selfie can strike at any time, it’s not always possible to position yourself perfectly during magic hour is it? Stand by an artificial light source and let your good side really shine! (Oh - and turn that flash off!)
4. Watch your back…
Please, before you take your selfie make sure there’s nothing unsavoury lurking in the background of your photo! A whimsical, unmade bed is one thing - but probably best to keep your laundry and dirty dishes out of shot ;)
5. Pouty lips vs bambi eyes?
Or both? Those clever social media gurus reckon that for some reason, our fingers are more likely to double tap an IG photo of sultry pouty faces or comedy ‘duckfaces’ than straight forward smiley ones. And as for the bambi eyes, well, if you’ve got ‘em - flaunt ‘em.
Bearing in mind that over-use of some filters can affect the finished quality of your printed StickyGram magnets, you must make some wise choices! We like light, smoothing, airbrushing filters. Use sparingly.
6. Quirky angles and abstracts
Positioning your camera slightly above your eye line can make for a fun photo. Experiment! Abstract selfies can be interesting too. Why not share your love of your favourite features :)
We want to see your selfies! Tag #stickygram #stickygramspotting on Instagram so we can find you :)
If you really think about it, how could you really, really know what you look like? We spend all our time looking at other people, at screens, at the world at the end of our noses! We don’t get much opportunity to look at ourselves properly and when we do, we’re most likely looking at a mirror image of ourselves. We don’t often get to experience our own facial expressions first hand(/eye). It’s a weird thought, right?
I’ve just been reading an interesting little article about this and the possible connection between the popularity of selfies and a human desire to better understand what we look like. Do we take and retake photos of ourselves until we produce a photo that makes us look the way we think we ought to look?
I’ll leave you with that thought - but stay tuned to the blog over these next few days for more selfie talk! ;)
